• 1. 65% of US oil consumption comes from foreign sources.
• 2. The #1 source for American crude oil imports is Canada (17.2%).
• 3. Nearly half (49%) of the oil we consume comes from the western hemisphere.

• 10. In 2006, ExxonMobil spent $0 on developing alternative energy. ConocoPhillips spent 0.5% of its capital budget on ‘emerging businesses’ which includes alternative energy and BP that advertises their green initiatives spent 4.5% of its capital budget on sustainable alternatives.
• 11. Drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf that conservatives have been fixated on would not impact oil prices for 20 years
• 12. 75% of America’s offshore drilling and gas reserves lie in areas ALEADY available for development.
