The Present is Just a Point Passed
As all of you must have noticed, we have been absent for quite some time…not by choice but by everyday life, new beginnings, and the intoxication and alterations of life!
Reality is a question of perspective; the further you get from the past, the more concrete and plausible it seems — but as you approach the present, it inevitably seems incredible.
In the past few months, our lives have been close to crazy…we have all experienced new challenges…Brian has been very unfortunate after his back-surgery he had a few days prior to Christmas last year, and is now having problems with complications and struggling with his medical conditions he suffered in the military while trying to graduate from college. Our daughter Linn is growing up so fast and just started a new daycare with new children, teachers, and curriculum…but she is the light of our lives! Myself, I have battled with injustices in life and tried to lessen the agitation of injustices and ignorance carried out by people, institutions, and the law… I am a strong believer in “what goes around, will come around.” Also, I was fortunate to find a full-time job as a Medical Assistant with one of our large hospitals in town with a flexible schedule and excellent benefits. It is with a split feeling that I am now back to full-time work since it entails more time outside of the home and less time with my baby girl…however, it also entails more interaction with adults, doing something I like, and gives a feeling of accomplishment. I guess any parent can relate to this situation!
On a side note, our family has been extended and now includes two more members..one night our lovely rescue cat, Tigger, brought home a baby bunny that he found…we didn’t have the heart to let him back out since he most likely would not survive. Well, about 20 minutes later, he brought another little baby bunny home. They are both from the same litter of bunnies so at least they have each other. We named them Alfalfa and Buckwheat. They now live comfortably and luxuriously in our living room! Not really what we had planned, but sometimes your cat makes decisions for you
“Let us make one point, that we meet each other with a smile, when it is difficult to smile. Smile at each other, make time for each other in your family.”
