Independence Day Weekend

What a wonderful but busy weekend we just had. Linn’s 4th Birthday party had to be re-scheduled due to people being affected so severely by the flood and not being at home for the 4th of July weekend. So, we took a roadtrip to Fargo to celebrate at Chuck E. Cheese and take her to the Toys R’ Us store since she has never been to such a big toy store before. Grandma and grandpa were so nice to offer a night at the hotel so we didn’t have to drive all the way back in the same day…and it [ ... ]

School’s Out for Summer…

School’s out for summer…at least for me!!!! I am going to enjoy summer, Linn, and my “vacation” off school for the next month and a half. At the end of August, I am going to be re-energized for my last semester before my graduation in December

PBR 2011

What a night and what a blast we had! Brian, Linn, and myself went to the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) event in Bismarck at the Civic Center this weekend and it was so much fun. Linn actually loved it too and stayed awake and interested the entire night. Of course, she had to wear her pink cowgirl hat that grandma and grandpa bought for her in Texas a while ago, her pink/white skirt from H&M, and her pink cowgirl shirt bought at RCC The only thing missing is cowboat boots and spurs since she got the lasso rope [ ... ]

It brought tears to my eyes when I read the article in the newspaper about Alice. Alice is a 15 year old girl who is losing her fight with blood cancer, and she decided to make a Bucket List out of the things she still wants to do in her life. It puts things in perspective,and shows you how petty some people are in life. A 15 year old girl knows more about life than most people.  As Alice says on her blog; “You only have one life. Live it!” I already signed up at DKMS as a bone marrow donor and [ ... ]
